| |New tabs up for the Octopod Iphone application!| |
So I was asked to record some demos for my friend George Stamatakis new Iphone application called Octopod. It pretty much makes the Iphone into a good ole 4 track recorder. Cool stuff to say the least. Being the nice guy that I am I also posted tabs on this page if anyone who sees it is interested in playing the songs we recorded. It's all original music I wrote for the Octopod so have fun with it. Learn more about the Octopod app here: http://octopod.me/OctoPod.me/OctoPod_EN.html |

| |NEW TABS! BRENT MASON - HOT WIRED AND BRAD PAISLEY - THE NERVOUS BREAKDOWN| |
Hey people. I've added a couple of country shred classics to the lessons section of my website. You''ll find the full songs, solo and all and it's all free! You gotta love that right? These are songs that I either couldn't find tabs for online myself or they were just not very accurate. Next one up I think will be Brad Paisleys "I'll take you back" so once you got the two down that''s on my page already, come back soon for more :-)

| |Finally an update!| |
Hi everybody.
>
> I know it's been waaaay to long since I wrote a newsletter but it is all in
> the past now and equinox is the time of progression. The dark giving way to
> light, new life rising from the ground and me getting of whatever the hell
> I'm smoking right now to stop writing all this nonsense. (disclaimer,
> smoking is bad mkay you shouldn't do it. Because I don't) HOWEVER...
>
> Great things are in the making. I attended the winter NAMM in Anaheim and
> because of the connections I made there and the people I met I am now a
> (very) proud endorser of Elmwood Amplification (www.elmwood.se) and T Rex
> pedals (www.t-rex-engineering.com). So let me tell you briefly about these
> companies. Elmwood has set out to make the best possible amps and gosh
> darnit do they have some great products. I play the Modena 60 head which is
> hands down one of the best amps I've ever played. It is all handwired, using
> the best components out there and it sounds amazing. Never again will I play
> an amp I can find at guitar center! Elmwood is also a very small company (3
> people) so why don't ya email em and show them some love :-)
> T Rex just happens to make some of the best pedals out there as well and
> naturally I am extremely stoked about being endorsed by these people. I'll
> post some videos soon of me playing the gear so you all get to hear it. Oh
> and another cool thing is that Elmwood is Swedish company and T Rex is
> Danish. It's like my roots homie :-)
>
> Some of you might know that I'm in a country band as well as doing all the
> session work and doing my own stuff. We just met with Mr. Larry Butler (
> http://www.larrybutler.com/) who is a major league producer in Nashville.
> Check out his website, his track record is pretty ridiculous. Anywho, he
> wants to produce an album with us and try to break us into the commersial
> country genre. He know everyone in Nashville and could put our CD on the
> desk of all the major label CEO's over there. This could turn into a great
> opportunity or it might not but I'll keep y'all posted on the progress.
>
> What else what else..
>
> Oh yeah, some of you has probably been getting mail from a WhiteSnake
> Tribute band. That's because I'm in it :-) We've been playing 3 shows so far
> and we're now ready to start playing bigger venues. The band is incredible
> and the musicians are all extremely good. Probably the best band I ever
> played in. Please check out the website for more info
> http://whitesnaketributela.com/. Hopefully we'll be playing close to you
> soon!
>
> Because of my choice of work, I transcribe a ton of music all the time. I
> figured it would be a good idea to share all this with the beautiful
> citizens of the Internet so I'll be posting a ton of tabs under the
> lessons/tabs page. First one up is Hot Wired with Brent Mason so if you ever
> wanted to know how to play it, it will be on my website in a week or so. Oh
> and it will be a lot of country and metal music :-) At least to begin with.>
> I was in a 4 page interview in Italian guitar magazine Axemagazine (
> http://www.axemagazine.it/month.htm). They also gave me a great review on my
> CD (that I don't understand anything of because I don't speak Italian and I
> gave the magazine away to my mom so I couldn't read it anyways). Because of
> this I've been getting a ton of friend requests from Italian gunslingers on
> myspace :-). Big big thanks to Guglielmo Malusardi who did the interview and
> also is a very cool guy!
> I've been getting a lot of airplay on internet radio too which is nice. The
> progressive rock community out there has certainly embraced my music which I
> am extremely greatful for.
>
> I am also writing on material for my next CD... It's gonna be awesome :-)
